High Speed Chase Suspect Indicted

A man who fled from police after a shooting in Bryan last summer and totaled his car during a high speed pursuit was among the people indicted by the Brazos County grand jury. Quincy Deshan Butler, 32, of Houston, was charged with a second degree felony count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

An indictment does not mean that the prosecutors are sure they defendant is guilty. However, the grand jury believes they have enough evidence to continue with a trial.

The court documents say that Quincy Butler shot several times at the 900 block of Suncrest last May. One woman went to the hospital as a result of these bullets.

Butler fled the scene, but was later caught by the Waller County Sheriff’s department following a chase.

The maximum sentence he can receive is 20 years in prison.

Casey James Lindley, 22, is charged with a felony count of indecency to a child. Police detained Lindley in June after three young girls reported that he exposed himself at the local community pool.

The police report said three girls that were 11, 12 and 13 saw him expose himself to them. He was masturbating while they were playing the pool. They identified Lindley by a photo lineup.
